Good news! Things are opening up, and our schedule for gigs –starting on June 3rd–is posted here on the website. Some fun summer stuff coming up, including a CD release party planned at this point for July 31st at Neisen’s in Savage. What do musicians do when they can’t gig? They finally finish up their recording projects! Solid Gold has 2 new all original CDs–one country and one rock/pop, and Wayne has an eclectic solo CD, all of which we are excited to be releasing this summer. Can’t wait to see you all again!

The Solid Gold Band is a professional Twin Cities band playing danceable classic rock/variety music for any occasion. In presenting the "Soul of Rock and Roll" show, we feature the great music of rock's first four decades. The group's current version represents one of Minnesota's longest running active rock bands.

We’re Getting Closer!
Hi Guys! With the continued loosening of restrictions, hopefully our favorite music venues will be opening again soon. Solid Gold has a number of upcoming dates in the works, and we’ll keep you posted. Can’t wait to get out there and get you dancin’ again!
Welcome to 2021!
Hi guys! Nice to have 2020 behind us! We of Solid Gold are all anxious to get back out and entertain you. Obviously, at this point, things are still up in the air as to when that can be. Earliest possible date might be for St. Patrick’s weekend celebration on March 13, but we will have to see things play out. We promise to keep you informed here, so please check back in–thanks!!

Hi Guys. We hope all of you are doing well and staying safe during these crazy times! We had a great schedule of outdoor summer events this year that hopefully can get rescheduled next year. We miss you all, and are ready to be on stage this year as soon as the venues will allow. We just heard that the Smoke Signals Car Show scheduled in Prior Lake for September 13 is a definite GO–so, we’ll see you there ( and hopefully, before)!

Crazy Gig/New Album/Music Video
Join us for the wildest bar night of the year–the night before Thanksgiving! Get pumped up and primed for turkey day and football by joining The Solid Gold Band – the night before the big day – at the Prior Lake VFW, 8 to 12 midnite. We’ll be playing music and partying with a cast of crazies, which we hope includes YOU.
After a lot of work this year ( including adding some new songs) we are finally finishing off our new all original album “I Like Livin’ Here.” The project has expanded into a double album ( one side rock/pop, and one side country), due out soon along with our new Music Video “Old White Guys”, which has been edited and will be used to promote the new album.
Rhythm on the Rails
UPDATE: The July 17th show got cancelled due to the threat of inclement weather, but has been rescheduled for August 21st. Solid Gold starts at 6 p.m.!

Hi Guys! Join us for a rockin’ event on July 17 at 6 p.m. in downtown Shakopee. Rhythm on the Rails is an outdoor music series on Wednesday nights–this year from July 17 to August 14. It features “top-notch live music, family fun, food and brew vendors, and much more. Attendance has averaged 5,000 people a night in prior years.”
The Solid Gold Band will be the first band to kick off this year’s event, doing an opening set from 6 to 6:45 p.m., before the Honeydogs hit the stage. Join us, and like us on Facebook!
